I experienced stuff about my hero.  I learned a lot of stuff on the computer about my hero.  My feelings on working on this project  was cool because we got to work with 10 different countries.  I liked doing the project because I got to share with other people all around the world.  I thought the project would be very hard, but it turned out easy.   It was fun making a web page too.  A favorite moment was when we got things from the countries.  Other   moments were when we blogged each other.  The last one was when when people sent CD’s and other things that were so awesome.

In the fantasy the Lightning Thief, by Rick Riordan Riordan, the main character Percy Jackson has a fight with Echidna [Mother of Monsters] and her son, the Chimera at Denver in the Gateway Arch.  Percy learns that he is brave. He learns that he is brave because he protects the family and Park Ranger and jumps off 10 floors to get to the Mississippi River to recover. The key theme of the book is that Percy goes on a quest with Annabeth and Grover to find Zeus’s Lightning bolt. They have to find Zeus’s Lightning bolt by the summer solstice at midnight or it will mean war and they will have to fight each other. They have to go to Los Angeles to go to the Underworld and get it back from Hades.

In the battle with Echidna and the Chimera, Percy discovers something about himself. He discovers that when he jumps in all water he can recover from wound and weakness. That is all that has happened in the fight with Echidna and the Chimera.

Johnny Tremain Summarizer Job
The job I did was summarizer. I had to write a paragraph about the most important details about what I read. This is what I wrote as summarizer” In Johnny Tremain Rab was going to fight in the war. Johnny was telling him if he would be able to go, but Rab was saying no each time. Colonel Smith was going to go on a campaign at 8:00 at night. General Gage had sent out spies dressed up as Yankee men looking for a job. Paul Revere asked Dr. Warren if he could accompany him to cross with him that very night to Charleston.” That concludes to my summary about Johnny Tremain

     On my winter break I was watching TV,playing video games,and my brother and I were playing basketball.  When it was Christmas eve I went to my Grandmas house.  When we got their my cousins were riding scooters on the street.  My brother and I dashed out of the car to play with my cousins.  We started to play with my cousins Nerf gun and then we played Hide and Seek.  When we got inside we ate carne[meat],drank soda,and champurrado[a chocolate drink with cinnamon].  When we finished eating we dashed outside to play Hide and Seek again.  No one couldn’t find my cousin until her little sister told us.  When it was 12:00 a.m. we were dashing inside to  open our presents.  After we finished opening presents we left a big mess inside.  The presents I got were,clothes,soccer ball, shoes,wireless PlayStation controller,  skateboard toy, and a game for my PlayStation.  When we got to our house we opened our other presents.  I woke up in the morning and it was Christmas Day.  At 11:00 a.m. we went with my dad to Grandma’s house.  My cousins were shooting each other with the Nerf guns and then my brother and I leaped out of the car to join in with them.  At 3:00 p.m. my cousin was leaving and my brother and I went with him to his house.  We were playing with his Nerf guns again and then got bored.  Later, we played with his Xbox 360 and I kept on beating my brother at Fifa soccer 10.  My dad came at night and left home to sleep.  I was playing over the days my Game cube,playstation2,basketball,soccer,and dodge ball.

     On New Years Eve at night we went to my Grandma’s house again.When we got their we ate tamales[masa with meat] and drank champurado[a chocolate drink].After we ate we got one cookieand peanuts mixed with almonds.  When we were done we played games.  We played Hide and Seek because it is fun hiding from someone.  My cousins and I were hiding in our Grandpa’s shed.My brother couldn’t find us and gave up.  At 11:30 p.m. I left to my house.  That’s the end of my cool and awesome winter break.

Thanksgiving is my family tradition that we do every year. Whenever it is Thanksgiving we have a big feast at our aunt or uncles house. We start to eat when almost the whole family is there. There are all kinds of foods to eat there because we all bring some so there’s enough for the whole family. When we go get something to eat there is mashed potatoes, turkey, ham, and biscuits. When everyone has eaten we wait for 2 hours and get some dessert. We have pumpkin pie, cheesecake, apple pie, cupcakes, and some chocolates for dessert. When we finish our dessert we talk and tell jokes to everyone. We are having a great time celebrating Thanksgiving. Sometimes we play video games, sports, and play tag somewhere that is very dark. When we leave we sometimes give hugs to say goodbye. This is all the stuff we do on Thanksgiving. Christmas is another family tradition we do. When it is Christmas Eve we go to my aunt’s house at night. We get to eat stuff like tamales, beans, rice, cookies, peanuts, brownies, cheesecake, and all sorts of candies. When it is 12:00 we open our presents and when we finish opening presents we play with our toys we got. When the day of Christmas comes we go to our aunt’s house again. We eat some food and open more presents we got. We play with the other toys that we got that day. That is what we do on Christmas and Christmas Eve day.
